Giethoorn, Netherlands

There are no roads for cars in Giethoorn village, just man made water canals. The village is also known as ‘Venice of the Netherlands’. This Old village is a popular tourist attraction
in The Netherlands, situated up north and although the village has a little less than 3000 people living in it, there are hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.
There is a large choice of B&B and restaurants offering a relaxed and tasty experience of this laidback village, apart from eating well, the stroll along the canals and the (almost) 200 wooden bridges will def help you take in the beauty of this quite place.
When visiting around winter time, most of the canals become amazing Ice skating Trails, be sure to bring your own pair of ice skates!
